Mark Di Suvero presented by Storm King
Governors Island summer exhibition of sculpture is organized by the Storm King Arts Center and features a dozen huge works by Mark di Suvero, master of large-scale pieces in steel.
This is the first time Storm King has organized an exhibit outside its 500-acre campus in the Hudson valley north of West Point. Its permanent installations include works by Calder, Noguchi, Nevelson, Serra and Maya Lin, among others.
The island is open to the public from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Fridays and from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturdays, Sundays and holiday Mondays through September 25th, 2011.
